YOUTH ON COURSE.ORG

Jun 13, 2018 11:10 AM

I encourage all players to go to Youthoncourse.org and join. For $20 you can play any member course for $5. The only course close by is Lake Wilderness (no range). But there are other courses if you are willing to travel a little. What a great way to play all summer long and play for almost nothing. On Friday the 29th of June they are promoting play for $1.

Rules Changes

Jun 8, 2018 2:18 PM
  • There are many rules changes that will affect play this year. A few of the changes are listed below. At this time it is uncertain if the changes that will take effect in January 2019 will be in place for the league season. It could be that we have the changes occur between the regular season and the Spring Qualifyer and State. Schools that play in the spring, could be playing under different rules.
  • A significant change is that we can use lasers this year (no slope) if a parent or grandpararnt has one that they wish to donate to the team we will be happy to take it (even if it is just for the season).
  • Dropping a ball- balls will be dropped from knee rather than shoulder height.
  • Searching for a lost ball- 3 minutes no longer 5 minutes
  • Putted ball and flagstick- no penalty for a putted ball hitting the flagstick
  • Grounding the club, you may now ground your club and remove loose impedients from the area marked as a water hazard, now called penalty areas (great for me as a soccer coach).
  • Lateral relief- we can no longer take relief on the opposite side of what used to be called a lateral hazard now called a red penalty area
  • Loose impediments in bunkers- we can now remove loose impediments but still cannot touch the sand with the club
  • Unplayable ball in the bunker- for two strokes you can drop a ball outside the bunker
  • Double hit- no longer a penalty for a ball accidentallty hit twice when making a stroke

Transportation

Jun 8, 2018 1:02 PM

We have a team of primarily underclassmen. Transportation will be an issue on match days. We will talk about it more at the parent meeting. Please be aware that I may be asking for some help on match days getting girls to the courses. Lets talk.
